This simple guide to household cleaning is for the already worn out, hands overflowing, too much to keep track of mom. I am very close to being that mom. With baby #3 on the way I needed something to help me keep track of what I should clean and when.
I love having a clean, fresh house. But usually I can’t remember when the last time I cleaned something was and if it needs to be done again. If you’re anything like me, this list is for you.
This list breaks down everything that needs to be cleaned over the span of a year and how often to do it. At the end, there is also a printable weekly cleaning schedule to help keep you on track week after week.
I’m the kind of person that puts everything off until I end up having to do everything on the same day. Then, because I have so much to clean, I miss things or don’t feel like I cleaned things thoroughly enough. With the weekly cleaning schedule, I spend maybe 20 minutes on one room a day. My house always feels clean and I don’t feel overwhelmed.

I think you may be one of those people that kinda enjoys cleaning? Am I right? I loathe cleaning. This post makes me feel a bit guilty about my lack of cleaning. I do clean out my dryer vent every week! 😀 I actually just pick and choose and do what I can and try not to stress over it!
I don’t like the process of cleaning but I definitely love a clean house! Which is why having a routine helps me keep the house clean while only cleaning what I absolutely have to every day!
I’ve never thought to create a cleaning schedule, but doing so makes so much sense. Thanks for this!
It really helps keep the house cleaner and frees up so much time!
This is such a useful guide to actually keeping the house clean. I love how this breaks it down into daily tasks so you can really stay on top of it. I’m pinning this for later!
Thank you!
I hate cleaning but it does help to have a schedule. I will keep this in mind!
This way you only have to do a few things a day instead of taking a whole day every week to do everything!
Cleaning schedule is exactly what I need to keep my house in order. Having two kids it easily gets away from me.
This makes it so easy to keep track of with busy schedules!
