These are some of the best bible verses when you’re struggling to find patience. I always thought I was a pretty patient person. Then I had kids. When it was just one toddler once in a while my patience would run thin. But when there were two conspiring against me I never realized how fast I could lose my patience. It has been a huge battle for me as a mom of two. I’m slowly learning, at least I think, how to deal with situations better and to be slow to anger.
The other half of patience can be even harder; waiting on God. This is the patience you need when you’ve hit a wall. You don’t know where your life is going or what to do next. The only thing to do is wait on God’s guidance. This is especially hard for me because I don’t like to not have a plan. But sometimes when a situation arises and you can’t control it, you don’t have any other choice but to put it in God’s hands and wait for Him to take care of it.
The good news is when this happens, He doesn’t leave you alone to wait and wallow. God gave us the most perfect form of encouragement and reassurance there could ever be, His word. But when you’re in the moment, seconds away from yelling at your kids or about to lose it because you’re tired of waiting for your life to come together, it can be hard to turn to the bible. When our patience runs out the last thing we want to do is calm down and pick up a book, the book. Which is why it’s so important to memorize scripture. Even if you memorize just one of these verses, God will take that verse and give it to you when you’re in need. Or when you’re in need use this list of bible verses when you’re struggling to find patience.
