When I was pregnant with my first baby I had a Target and an Amazon baby registry. While I loved the products both had to offer, I had so much more on my Amazon baby registry. There was just so much more they had to choose from! And there are so many great offers like:
- a 10% completion discount across Amazon.com
- 15% completion discount for Amazon Mom members
- FREE 90-day returns on Baby Store purchases
- It’s universal – add items to an Amazon Baby Registry from any site
- Over 270,000 baby items within the baby store
- Free shipping on orders over $25 or fast, FREE delivery on millions of Items with Prime
- a FREE Amazon Baby Registry Welcome Box that contains items for parents and baby, and is valued at up to $35
This isn’t a complete baby registry, there’s a lot of things you need that aren’t on here. I left out things like clothes, nursery furniture, diapers, and wipes because obviously you need those things and will have your own preference of what you like. This is just a list of things that I got from my Amazon baby registry that I could not live without as a new mom!
Also included at the very bottom is a free printable baby registry checklist. Trying to get ready for a new baby is already hard enough. Get a free baby registry checklist to make sure you get everything you need!
Amazon Baby Registry Must Haves:
Shea Moisture Baby Head to Toe Wash Shampoo and Healing Lotion
These are first because you absolutely need them on your baby registry. I love this stuff! I always planned on using Burts Bees on my babies (I still love Burts Bees) but I accidentally picked this up on a half-asleep Walmart run. Seriously, it’s the best thing I’ve ever smelled in my life. Most of the reason I want to cuddle my kid is because he smells so good. Even if we skip a bath one night he still smells amazing the day after.
Fisher-Price Sling Tub
When I had Oliver I had a cheap plastic tub that wasn’t anything special. As a newborn he would lay on a towel next to the sink for a sponge bath since we couldn’t get his belly button wet. I bought this to put in our shower (standing shower) because Oliver got too big for the kitchen sink. I can’t wait to try the sling with a newborn and use the sit up support seat when the baby is still too small to sit up on his/her own.
VTech Audio Baby Monitor
I know there’s nothing special about these baby monitors but they work great and are reliable. While I would’ve loved one of the video camera ones, I was nervous about any radiation it might give off and harm my baby.
Dr. Brown’s Deluxe Bottle Sterilizer
I didn’t buy a sterilizer right away because the dishwasher always cleaned my bottles really well. But on a trip to Boston when Oliver was two months old I needed something to bring to clean bottles at the hotel. After using it for the weekend I continued to throw bottles in it whenever the dishwasher was too full or I needed them quickly. It always worked great and didn’t take much time.

Fisher-Price First Steps Kick ‘n Play Piano Gym

I bought this for Oliver when he was two months old. He loved it because he was still too little to grab things with his hands but would kick his feet all day long. Then when he was older I could slide the piano up so he could sit and play on it.
Ingenuity Trio 3-in-1 High Chair
Honestly I bought this high chair because it was the cheapest one I could find. With that said I haven’t had any problems with it. Recently I took the chair off of the legs and put it on a chair at our table. That way Oliver doesn’t have to use the tray and can eat at the table with us.
Evenflo Glass Bottles – 4 Ounce (Pack of 6)

& Evenflo Glass Bottles – 8 Ounce (Pack of 6)
These bottles are awesome. I have taken them from the cold fridge, plopped them straight into boiling water, and have never had one break. I never had a problem with Oliver taking a bottle but I started less than a week after he was born.
Fisher-Price Sit-Me-Up Floor Seat
My mother in law bought this for Oliver when he was three or four months old and it was one of his favorite things. As a nosy kid, he loved to be able to sit up and watch everything even before he could sit on his own. Not to mention it folds up so it’s easy to take anywhere!
Naturepedic Organic Cotton Crib Mattress
I know, I know it’s really expensive. But seriously if you buy nothing else for your baby get them this mattress! There has been a lot of research to back up that SIDS can be caused from toxic chemicals used for fire retardants that cover non-organic crib mattresses. I don’t even care if you don’t buy this mattress or buy from the brand. Get your baby some kind of organic crib mattress. Wouldn’t you rather spend the extra money and know that your baby is not sleeping on a ton of different chemicals and have no idea what they may cause?
Dekor Classic Hands-Free Diaper Pail
This is important and don’t let anyone tell you otherwise!! With Oliver I was all, “I’d rather not spend the money, I’ll just put them in the regular garbage.” Two months in it changed to, “Oh my gosh this garbage is not even half way full and it reeks. Time to waste another garbage bag.” Seriously you could buy three of these with all the money you’re going to waste on the amount of garbage bags you will go through. It’s cheap, it has good ratings, just do yourself a favor and put it on the registry.

Medela Pump in Style Advanced Electric Breast Pump
This is the pump I used and I love it. It’s so simple and easy to use, it all comes in a nice little tote, and I don’t think it’s too expensive. It comes with a battery pack so you can use it anywhere and a cooler tote with an ice pack. It even fits on the Evenflo bottles I mentioned! I also love using a Haakaa breast pump.
Boon Grass with Stem and Twig

This is the most unnecessary thing you can put on your registry but I just want one sooo bad! I don’t even need it since the bottles dry in the dishwasher anyways, but it’s just SO COOL! Even though I’d probably get mad for it taking up my counter space a month into not using it. . .
Boon Clutch Dishwasher Basket
On the other hand, this I used every day. If I didn’t use it I would put the nipples in the basket with the silverware and they would just fly everywhere. With this I could just dump it in the drawer instead of picking them out of the back of the dishwasher.
Boppy Nursing Pillow and Positioner
I was given this by a friend, and honestly I didn’t really use it for nursing. Instead I loved to throw it on the ground on top of a blanket and sit Oliver in it. I think he liked having another option besides the bouncer or the swing, plus he just looked so cute propped up in it. However, if you are thinking of getting one to use for nursing, I have only heard good things about how comfortable and helpful it is.
Graco Pack ‘n Play Nearby Napper Playard
If you’re looking for a pack ‘n play your best bet is to stick with Graco. I think they’re the simplest to use and the best quality. I had this one for Oliver and he slept in this until he was just under a year old and we finally got a crib. He still sleeps perfectly in them at my moms and my in-laws.
Lansinoh Breastmilk Storage Bags
If you plan on pumping and freezing breast milk these are a must have! I have never had a problem with one leaking or breaking open.
Washable Organic Nursing Pads

These are a must have for a nursing mama. I tried the disposable ones but the paper-like material was super uncomfortable and you go through so many of them it’s just a waste of money compared to using washable cloth pads.
Medela Contact Nipple Shield
If you’re having your first baby or have never nursed before BUY SIX OF THESE. Okay fine two will do, just have some around. When I was pregnant my mom, and my sister, and many others told me how much nursing would hurt. But because I know everything, I didn’t believe them and thought I would be just fine without them. Man was I wrong. It hurt so bad my mom ended up making my dad stop and get some for me on the way home from work my first week into nursing. Ladies, you don’t want your dads buying you nipple shields so just do yourself a favor and put it on the registry.

Safety 1st Grow and Go 3-in-1 Convertible Car Seat
I LOVE this carseat! I’ve used it since the day Oliver was born and have never had to worry about getting a bigger one. While sometimes it was annoying not having one I could take out and carry him in, I had one that came with my stroller that I would keep in my trunk in case I needed it. Or, I would just strap him in my baby carrier! Not to mention there are so many different kinds to choose from on Amazon!
BABYBJORN Baby Carrier One
My sister gave me this from when her kids were babies so I didn’t have to shop around much. With my second baby I thought a wrap would be fun to try but after watching videos I would be nervous of not putting it on right and my baby falling out! This carrier was so simple and easy to use, I’ll definitely be using it again.
Graco DuetSoothe Baby Swing
My kids would sleep all day in a swing. But honestly I probably would too. This one is really nice because you can remove the seat and use it as a rocker. It’s super convenient to take outside on a nice day or to another room if you need to.
Simple Joys Receiving Blankets
My mom always told me babies are always warm and cozy on the inside then all of a sudden they’re out and it’s not anymore. So it’s a moms job to make sure their baby is always wrapped tightly in a blanket. For the first month, Oliver always had a receiving blanket around him with another thicker blanket on top of it. I had a couple swaddles but could never get them as tight as I could a blanket so whatever you choose to go with make sure you have something handy!
Safety 1st Smooth Ride Travel System
So I know I told you to get the convertible car seat and you should, but this is the carrier I used when I had to go shopping or needed something for Oliver to sleep in if we went out to eat. You need a stroller anyways but this way you have the carrier to click securely into it when your baby is still too small to just sit in the stroller and you have an extra car seat.
I love those evenflo glass bottle too!
They’re the best kind!
