Beginner bible verses for kids are a great way to start teaching your kids about God and how to live for Him.
It’s never too early to start teaching your kids to memorize and understand bible verses but let’s be honest, most things I have yet to understand let alone try to explain them to my kids.
And then by the time you get them in bed, pull out your bible, and search for a new verse every night, they will probably be fast asleep (or bouncing off the wall).
Some of these bible verses for kids are ones that I remember learning when I was little. The rest are ones that I’ve found that will strengthen your child’s biblical foundation.
Most of them are shorter but length does not make it hard for a child to memorize. I can still remember being in first grade and learning to recite the twenty third Psalm in full.
The best way to get your kids into it is to make it fun! I bought a little notebook, wrote what verse we were working on in it, and gave Oliver a sticker when he could say it back on his own.
This KJV Kids Study Bible is our favorite to use with the kids. It has so many cool features to help keep their focus and help them learn.

Bible Verses for Kids About How to Treat Others
One of the hardest things to teach children is how to be kind and forgiving to others. How to share and not get angry. These verses will give your children the tools they need to do this.
Ephesians 5:32
“And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ’s sake hath forgiven you.”
I Peter 3:9
“Not rendering evil for evil, or railing for railing: but contrariwise blessing; knowing that ye are thereunto called, that ye should inherit a blessing.”
Luke 6:31
“And as ye would that men should do to you, do ye also to them likewise.”
This is amazing! I pray with the boys occasionally but rarely read the bible with them…I want to do this. Lovely place to start. Thanks for this.
Oh my goodness, I am SOOOOO excited to have found your blog! I ONLY use the KJV, and it’s so rare to find like-minded Christians.
Oh I know I have yet to find another blog that’s KJV!
I really like this! I’ve been trying to work with my kids more and get them into learning about God! I will definitely use this list!
